Judge Shocked When Young Slime Life’ Gang Members Reject Plea Deal Ahead of Young Thug Trial
Less than 24 hours after the 7th member in the Young Thug RICO case accepted plea deals, 2 other members rejected deals and are taking it to trial.
Derontae Bebee nicknamed “Be” and Tenquarius Mender aka “Nard” both turned down plea agreements in court today (December 29).
Both rejected plea agreements that may have allowed Mender and Derontae to go free. Mender was considering the following when he agreed to a plea bargain:
- 15 years probation
- 1 Year community service
- Probation terminated upon successful completion with no violation in the state of Georgia for the first 10 years
Today 2 members of YSL gang actually Rejected the 'Get out of Jail Right now but Snitch on Young Thug @ Trial' plea. These r the first 2 YSL gang members literally opt to Take it to Trial. Their Names r Tenquarius Mender aka 'Nard' & Derontae 'Bebee'. The Judge was highly shocked

The judge noted that a defendant must successfully defend against all four charges in order to avoid going to jail. The Judge will be forced to impose Mender the maximum term permitted by the recidivist legislation if she is found guilty as stated by the judge.
If they are found guilty after declining a plea bargain and going to trial, Mender risks a penalty of 50 years, and Derontae faces a term of life in prison.
Peachstatelawyer.com claims that regardless of the type of offence prosecuted, repeat offenders in Georgia face harsher penalties. Recidivist legislation is outlined in O.C.G.A. 17-10-7. (a). It says that if a criminal defendant has been convicted of one felony in the past and is then found guilty of another, the judge must sentence the offender to the maximum term of imprisonment allowed by law.
Yesterday, rapper Young Thug’s YSL RICO indictment saw Antonio Sledge enter into a plea agreement, making him the seventh defendant to do so. Sledge joins other defendants who took plea deals, including Antonio “Obama” Sumlin, Gunna, Walter Murphy, Slimelife Shawty, Lil Duke, and Young Thug’s brother Unfoonk.
The judge gave Derontae, Mender, and another co-defendant more time since court was adjourned, as seen in the video. Keep checking Hip Hop XXIV for the most recent information.
