Offset Announces New Album “Set It Off” Release Date and Previews with “Fan” Music Video

Rapper Offset is set to drop his highly-anticipated new album, “Set It Off,” on October 13, and fans are eagerly counting down the days. The album will be released via Motown Records, and Offset has given listeners a taste of what’s to come with the release of “Fan” and an accompanying music video featuring Paige Hurd, Kai Cenat, and Fanum.

“Fan” was produced by an impressive team of producers, including Aaron Bow, FNZ, Teddy Walton, Thank You Fizzle, and Thurdi. The music video for the track, which was directed by Offset himself and shot in Los Angeles, pays homage to the legendary Michael Jackson.

Offset expressed his excitement for the upcoming album, saying, “I’ve been working on this project for over two years now. This season is personal for me. It marks a new chapter in my life. I feel like Michael Jackson coming from a successful group breaking records to superstardom on my own. This body of work is healing for me and a letter to my fans and supporters.”

“Set It Off” will also include Offset’s recent single, “Jealousy,” which features a collaboration with his wife, Cardi B. The track samples Three 6 Mafia’s “Jealous Ass Bitches” and was accompanied by a music video featuring Taraji P. Henson, who portrayed one of Cardi B’s friends trying to convince her to break up with her partner. This collaboration marks the sixth time Offset and Cardi B have worked together on a song, in addition to their work with Migos.

Offset’s last solo album, “Father of Four,” was released in 2019. Earlier this year, he and Quavo paid tribute to their late Migos band member, Takeoff, at the BET Awards with performances of “Hotel Lobby” and “Bad and Boujee.” Offset also released “Without You” in memory of Takeoff, who tragically lost his life in a shooting incident in Houston last year.

Fans can now preorder “Set It Off,” which will be available in various formats, including CD, double LP on black vinyl, red vinyl (exclusive to Offset’s store), and olive green vinyl (exclusive to Spotify), as well as four different box sets. In addition to the album release, Offset has partnered with Tremaine Emory, the founder of Denim Tears, to design an official Denim Tears collection that will accompany the album. Music enthusiasts and fashion aficionados alike have much to look forward to with the upcoming release of “Set It Off.”
