Metro Boomin Takes Center Stage at Exclusive Live Orchestra Event for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Soundtrack

In a dazzling celebration of music and cinema, Sony Pictures is set to host an invite-only live orchestra event at the Academy Museum, spotlighting the sensational soundtrack of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. The focus of the night? None other than the executive producer himself, Metro Boomin.

Variety reports that the event, scheduled at the prestigious Academy Museum, will not only showcase Metro Boomin’s groundbreaking contributions but also feature the talents of Emmy-winning composer Daniel Pemberton, film director Joaquim Dos Santo, and other notable guests.

Screenwriters Phil Lord and Chris Miller praised Metro Boomin’s standout songwriting and production, stating that it goes beyond authenticity, aiming to elevate the struggles of Miles Morales and his family to something “lyrical and lovely.” They emphasized the emotional intimacy of the music, describing it as a force that draws the audience into the story, making it memorable.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, released in June, has been a massive success, grossing $381 million domestically. The film continued Miles Morales’ adventures, played by Shameik Moore, as he navigates the complexities of multiple universes.

Metro Boomin’s soundtrack featured an impressive lineup of artists, including Lil Wayne, Swae Lee, Offset, JID, Lil Uzi Vert, and more. The 13-song LP, with contributions from Mike Dean, BEAM, Dre Moon, and TRAKGIRL, added an extra layer of depth to the Spider-Verse experience.

In an October interview with Complex, Metro Boomin expressed his interest in the film industry, stating his love for fiction. While he envisions venturing more behind the scenes, he remains open to exploring smaller roles, recognizing the potential for growth in both music and cinema.

The exclusive live orchestra event promises to be a night of cinematic and musical enchantment, bringing to life the vibrant symphony that accompanied Miles Morales’ journey across the Spider-Verse.
