Gunna’s “Fukumean” returns at Number #1 on Apple Music & Spotify
Gunna has reentered the music scene with his latest track, “Bread & Butter,” following legal troubles that led to his December 2022 release due to pleading guilty to racketeering charges.
In the song, Gunna provides insights into the rap industry and its notable figures, such as Young Thug, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Quality Control Music’s founder, Pierre “P” Thomas.
The track also delves into the aftermath of Gunna’s plea deal in the YSL RICO case, resulting in some rappers distancing themselves from him to maintain loyalty to Young Thug and YSL.
Remarkably, Gunna’s album includes “Fukumean” at the sixth spot, which impressively earned him his second Streaming Songs No. 1. This track’s resurgence to the top position on platforms like Apple Music and Spotify coincided with Travis Scott’s “Utopia” release.
Travis Scott’s album made a significant impact on the charts, amplifying his presence on the Billboard Hot 100.

Interestingly, all 19 tracks from Travis Scott’s “Utopia” entered the Hot 100, boosting his total charted songs from 93 to 111 throughout his career. This accomplishment solidifies Travis Scott’s position as the 15th artist in the chart’s history to achieve over 100 career entries.
Notably, “Utopia” achieved an exceptional debut, securing the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. The album amassed an impressive 496,000 equivalent album units during its opening week, spanning from July 28 to August 3. This notable achievement signifies the third-largest week for any album in 2023 and the most substantial for any R&B/hip-hop or rap release.
As Gunna makes his way through the music industry once more and Travis Scott’s “Utopia” takes the charts by storm, it’s evident that both artists continue to shape the modern music scene with their distinct sounds and impactful releases.
