Lil Baby’s “It’s Only Us Tour 2023” Faces Setbacks as Multiple Dates Get Cancelled Due to Low Ticket Sales
Due to low ticket sales, Lil Baby has reportedly made the decision to cancel several dates of his “It’s Only Us Tour 2023.” The tour was originally set to begin on July 26, 2023, at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX. However, the Atlanta rapper has trimmed more than half a dozen dates from the tour, leaving fans disappointed.
According to Ticketmaster, shows in Phoenix, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Denver, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Louisville have been cancelled. At the time of the announcement, no information was available regarding the reasons for the cancellations. Fans who purchased tickets for the cancelled shows will receive refunds, which are expected to be issued within 30 days. The Ticketmaster website states, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event. No action is required to obtain a refund.”
Lil Baby initially announced the tour in April, generating excitement with a swimming pool video where he FaceTimed with some of his opening acts. However, the updated tour schedule posted on Instagram did not provide an explanation for the cancelled dates. Fans expressed their disappointment and confusion in the comments section, questioning why certain cities were removed from the tour.
In addition to the cancelled dates, fans also noticed that The Kid LAROI, one of the previously announced openers, was no longer listed on the updated poster. However, other opening acts such as GloRilla, Rylo Rodriguez, Gloss Up, and Junxho are still listed.
To make up for the cancelled dates, the updated routing included new shows in Philadelphia and New York. The tour is named after Lil Baby’s third chart-topping album.
At the time of this news report, a spokesperson for Lil Baby had not responded to Billboard’s request for comment regarding the cancellations.
