An arrest warrant has been issued for Kodak Black.
Rapper Kodak Black is once again in trouble with the law. An arrest warrant has been issued for the Florida native after he allegedly violated his bail conditions by failing a drug test earlier this month.
This is just the latest in a series of legal troubles for the rapper, whose real name is Bill Kahan Kapri.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the warrant was filed in Broward County court on Friday, citing two incidents in recent weeks. The first incident occurred on Feb. 3 when Kodak failed to show up for a random drug test and did not submit a sample that day.
The second incident occurred on Feb. 8 when he did submit a sample, which reportedly came back positive for fentanyl.
As a result of these incidents, a judge ordered authorities to arrest Kodak Black if they see him. There are also additional orders to hold him without bond until his next hearing in his drug case from last year.
Back in July 2020, Kodak was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance without prescription and trafficking in oxycodone. Police allegedly found 31 white tablets in his car during a traffic stop in Fort Lauderdale. The tablets were later identified as oxycodone. Kodak posted $75,000 bail and was released from jail.
His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, defended him at the time, saying, “Never judge a case based on an arrest. There are facts and circumstances that give rise to a defense, especially in this case.” However, with the latest violation of his bail conditions, it seems that Kodak’s legal troubles are far from over.
